Lorna is a Senior Occupational Therapist with over 8 years' experience. She obtained her BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy from UCD. She has worked in specialist disability services extensively, both in Ireland and Australia. first as an SNA, then as an OT, and undertaken extensive postgraduate courses in this area. She has traine in special schools for children with ASD/Intellectual Disability, St Michael's House and Enable Ireland. She has worked in paediatric private practice in addition to her role in public services for 4 years, and has supervised and mentored other OTs looking to specialize in this area. She currently works as a Senior OT in a North Dublin Children's Disability Network Team in addition to her role in Helping Hands. Outside of work, Lorna enjoys Gaelic Football, which she only took up as an adult, and reading, and is an avid animal lover.
